Access Ramp - How To Remove An In-Ground Swimming Pool

Now that the stairs are gone we have a big next step--get the machine into the hole!  First, demolish the concrete that was behind the steps and pile it up outside the pool to use as fill later.

Now, use the machine to cut a gradual ramp down the opening where the stairs used to be.  Make this more gradual than you think it needs to be since you will have to get the machine back up and the ground could be muddy then.  Here's what our ramp looked like:
